In this episodic dramedy, we follow BRADLEY BORGEN, an actor and single everyman, as he tries desperately to pursue an unattainable dream in an increasingly absurd world. Bradley wants nothing more than a career in the often challenging and elusive movie industry, but his inability to cry hinders his success at every turn. Or so he thinks... Each episode takes us further and further through Bradley’s comic and tragic attempts to weep. He engages therapists, doctors, acting teachers, and random hook-ups. Will anything stick? In the background, his best friend Jeffrey helps to guide him in the right direction. But Bradley is always turning left when he should be turning right.

And then there’s his nemesis, Zakeri Thompson, a working actor, who is now ensconced in the industry’s ivory tower, where of course Bradley desperately wants to live. Naturally, Zakeri won’t let Bradley forget that he doesn’t live there, and probably never will. In fact, where Bradley lives, is in his Mom’s basement. And if that isn’t humiliating enough, his newly single Mom upstairs, is likely fornicating with two men — at the same time! Come with us on Bradley’s often treacherous journey through life’s obstacles to fulfill his star dreams, and maybe find his way to understanding who he is. And, if things go right for once, maybe he’ll even find his way to love.

Bradley Borgen

Bradley is not a bad guy, he just feels himself entitled to a professional acting career without necessarily putting the work in. He has convinced himself that the only reason he can’t get an acting job is because he can’t cry. It’s been 10 years of slogging through, living in his mom’s basement, bringing home random girls from the bar and mostly trying to figure out why the doors are not opening and why he can’t fit in. Everything seems to be against him. He hangs out periodically with his best friend Jeffrey, drinking and smoking weed — and he’s even begun to talk to a therapist to figure out this crying issue.

ZT (Zakeri Thompson)

Just your regular old actor prick. He loves to rub his success in everyone’s face, especially Bradley’s. He is fueled by ego and cuts down those he looks at as inferior. So everyone.

Mom

Beautiful, sweet and maternal to a fault, Shirley Borgen appears to be a tad on the youngish side to be Brad’s Mom. Regardless, she is — but never forget, a woman has needs, no matter who’s mother she is. And sometimes those needs are dark and sexual.
